Government Agents Seize Oath Keeper's New Born From Hospital Concord Hospital, NH, Wed. Oct. 7th, 2010 Last Night John Irish & Stephanie Janvrin had their new born baby girl taken away by government officials because of their involvement with Oath Keepers, a non violent constitutional organization. According to Irish, The Director of Security and the Head Nurse of the Hospital said "we want the pediatrician to check the baby in the nursery so that you can go home." The baby was wheeled out in the bassinet under the protest of Irish. Irish followed them out and took note of 3-4 men wearing suits with detective badges as well as 3 police officers. The Division of Family Child Services proceeded to pat down John and inform the parents they would be taking the daughter. "They Stole our Child" says John Irish. An Affidavit was produced that claimed an affiliation with a militia called Oath Keepers. Irish claims Oath Keepers is a non violent organization. John and Stephanie were able to spend a few minutes with their daughter and were forced to leave. A security officer escorted the two out of the hospital. Sleep Positioners: A Suffocation Risk

CPSC and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are warning parents and caregivers to stop using sleep positioners. Over the past 13 years CPSC and FDA have received 12 reports of infants between the ages of 1 month and 4 months who have died when they suffocated in these positioners or when they became trapped between a sleep positioner and the side of a crib or bassinet. CPSC has received dozens of reports of infants who were placed on their backs or sides in sleep positioners, only to be found later in potentially hazardous positions within or next to the sleep positioners. The safest crib is one with only a mattress and a tight-fitting sheet. Parents should stop using sleep positioners or ANY device to hold an infant on his or her back or side for sleep. These are unnecessary and can pose a suffocation risk to your baby.

An average of 26 young children a day are injured in incidents related to cribs, playpens, and bassinets in the US alone, according to research published online ahead of print in Pediatrics. Here are some tips to help you put your baby to bed safely: • Put young babies to sleep in a sturdy crib on their backs with no pillows or padding • Babies should be moved to a toddler bed when they reach 35 inches in length • Never leave a child unattended in a crib with the side down Investigators from the Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital analyzed data collected by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission's National Electronic Injury Surveillance System on children younger than 2 who were treated in emergency departments (ERs) for injuries related to cribs, bassinets and playpens between 1990 and 2008. During the 19-year study period, over 180000 children under the age of 2 were treated in US ERs for injuries related to cribs, bassinets, and playpens. That works out to over 12 injuries for every 10000 children or nearly 10000 injuries a year. There were also over 2000 deaths, and these did not include deaths in children who did not receive care in an ER. While a gradual decline in jury rates was seen over the study period, there was still an average of 26 injuries a day in recent years.
